Re-Heroes: Mana Richards

Yep, joining yet another group it seems. Okay this isn't what I usually go for in a group but I think it should be interesting~ Made a girl this time cause I really don't make any female characters. So... here's Mana~

Oh I'm not sure on her history so if somethings wrong, or you need me to clarify her powers tell me. I have links from what I've based her powers on, there just really watered down in some aspects.... ((Pst: Think Kaze no Stigma without the spirits, and Fairy Tale but more...common sense. FT can be kind of out there at times...))

Personality:  The Witty One 

Mana is a very witty girl with a quick mind and a matching mouth. She likes to tease others to see their reactions; usually taking what others might say as suggestive when it’s not meant to. She’s also kind, rather caring and does try to help in her own way, but also knows that if someone doesn’t want help there’s nothing she can do.  However her temper is somewhat of a chance. She can be very calm on most days, but can also become an almost furious rage, or become rather dim and with drawn when she’s reminded of what she use to have. During this she hates being the center of attention, and becomes very defensive.  

Fear: Fear of Strong Winds
Fear Level: Green (can reach to orange though) 

Cursed Object: Jade Wind Chime Necklace (necklace) 

Superpower: Mana can control anything that deals with wind, or air if you’d prefer that word. She can morph it into wind blades to use as a weapon, or use gust of wind to float or push people back. On a more passive side the air around her seems to become cleaner.

Weakness: Fire. Since that element just tends to get stronger with air and spreads faster due to wind influence it makes her pretty useless if say a wild fire is going on. 

History: Mana and her twin brother were born in Kansas, US to a Japanese female and her American husband. As children they lived a relatively happy life, on a big farm that was full of life, animals and just plain happy. But it wasn’t like that all the time. Around the time Mana was 13 years old a huge tornado hit the farm suddenly, sucking up her twin brother and her father before they could get into the basement. This left heavy scars on Mana’s mind and heart. Not only did she lose her twin brother, but also her father in such a traumatic way she began to fear it would happen to her. It kept her up at night as the windows shook from light breezes, when the wind blew her hair.  Her mother tried to help, but Mana would only before more aggressive if the topic was brought up or lock her self up in her room and fall apart, so her mother decided to move back to Japan. This…broke Mana somewhere inside. The memories of her brother and father, no matter how much it hurt, were what kept her grounded from doing anything stupid.

But before that her mother decided that together both of them would sort through what remained of her father and brother things as a way to help move on. So Mana and her mother did. It was painful for both but also in some way helped. While doing this, Mana would comment on how random her brother was when it came to trinkets. For a guy he seemed to have way too many things. Necklaces, cards of all kinds, too many books, a box of rocks and really old looking items. One item though caught Mana’s eye. A little jade chime with a tassel on it. It just kept popping up every time she tried to clean something out. In one of the books, or in the box of rocks. It was annoying, so she threw it away. 

It wasn’t until they arrived to the new apartment in Japan that Mana noticed something odd in her belongings. The stupid chime she threw away! How in the world did that get into her stuff! She showed her mother, who just assumed that her daughter had decided to keep it, telling her that she was imagining things. But Mana insisted, she knew she threw it away! Not wanting to start a fight though, her mother took the chime and put it up. If it made Mana that aggravated, then maybe she shouldn’t keep it. So she threw it away instead. 

But every other day the chime would seem to pop up randomly around the apartment. Mother and daughter had no idea what was going on. It freaked Mana out so one day she took the chime with her on her way to school and threw it away in another garbage can far away from her apartment.And that same day, just later at night the chime just appeared on her bed. To say that this freaked Mana out would be an understatement. Why was this stupid little chime always popping up even when she went out of her way to throw it away? 

Maybe something was making sure it was coming back? Or someone? But why? Pushing aside her common sense for the moment, Mana decided that she’d keep it for a bit. So she put it on a beaded necklace and wore it. At least then she wouldn’t jump five feet in the air when it pops up out of nowhere. 

The only down side. It attracted attention. People would look at it and in turn notice her when only her friends would. It was really unnerving.  Not liking this, it made her rather nervous, jumpy and ready to flee at any given time. 

One day on a bad day where something reminded her of the life she use to have, someone got too close, triggering Mana to freak out, yelled and the window behind her suddenly broke and a huge gust of wind broke the window behind her, rattling all the other windows in the hall and causing Mana to panic. Thankfully though no one was hurt but Mana was taken home due to not being able to calm down.

It wasn’t until a few days after that she received a strange email talking about a site, and after some thought decided to join as a way to keep her mind off things the sad things in her life.

Additional Info: *Her happy attitude towards things is a way for her to cope for the loss of her brother and father.
*On the track team.
*Is always looking for ways to cope with her fear.
*Has a pet cat and bird.
*Can’t be outside when it rains or a big storm is coming due to the strong winds. She kind of panics from it.
*Smells like clean air with a hint of a floral scent.
